Conor and Floyd fought on August 26, 2017, in what was regarded as the ‘biggest fight in combat sports history.’
Floyd was the retired and undefeated eleven-time, five-division champion while Floyd was a world-renowned MMA fighter.
Despite Conor’s ultimate loss in the tenth round to Floyd by TKO (technical knockout), many fans remembered this once-in-a-lifetime fight by the weigh-ins and not the fight itself.
It was the day before the fight, in Las Vegas, during the weigh-ins when the fans noticed the Irishman’s erection on stage.
It didn’t take long for fans to notice the bulge in the Irishman’s Calvin Kleins and his rival, Floyd Mayweather Jr., quickly took note of it and began pointing, taunting and laughing at his opponent.
Although Conor tried to readjust his boxers as he got onto the stage, it was too late and the world had already snapped a picture.
It was on Thursday when Conor confirmed everyone’s suspicion with a well-timed Instagram photo and an even better caption.
The old adage says that a picture can say a thousand words, so what about an emoji? Conor uploaded a photo of him at the weigh in with the subtle emoji of an ‘eggplant’ while also tagging Calvin Klein (the brand of his underwear).
For those who may be unaware of the eggplant emoji, it is commonly used to refer to the male genitalia. Although Conor didn’t directly address the situation, it’s safe to say that he was well aware of what his fans (and his opponent) were looking at.
More recently, however, the 29-year-old had to cancel a New Year’s Eve party after getting the ‘Australian flu.’ He took to his Instagram to let his more than 6 million followers known that he had recovered. He wrote: ‘well that was a wild New Year’s Eve, half the family hit with the Australian flu virus and some even left in hospital with it. I’ve never even been to Australia wtf. One of the most intense few days I’ve gone through. Big New Year’s Eve party canceled at the last minute and I am left shaking in bed the past two days.’
